What we do: The Medieval Combat Society provide a medieval encampment setting with living history and arena based displays. Check out our new living history page.
Just last year we performed in castles, at museums, at large scale battle re-enactments, care homes and banquets to name just a few of our events. We can also do bilingual commentary at Welsh events. The Medieval Combat Society can be booked for a variety of events both big and small, so please feel free to contact us. Contact our Bookings Officer or visit our Facebook page. What we can provide: Royalty, Knights, Ladies, Squires, Pages, Commoners, all in authentic period clothing. Entertainment with separate shows normally between 30-45mins of combat, archery and dancing. We are also able to provide "have a go" archery facilities. Living history/depiction of a medieval encampment. PA for commentary and ambient music. A double roped arena for crowd safety. The Medieval Combat Society has its own public liability insurance and can provide a full risk assessment. What we need: The requirements vary according to the nature and size of event, but as a guideline: An area for the arena - 30 metre x 30 metre of flat grass that is used exclusively for combat, dancing and living history. If “have a go” archery has been requested, a run off area behind the targets. Vehicle access to site and parking for an average of 10 vehicles. Access to a source of fresh water and toilets. |
