Queen of England, wife of Edward 111, She acted as regent in 1346, when her husband was away for the Hundred Years' War. She was mother to 13 children, some of whom can be seen in the arena. She tolerates the presence of her husband's mistress, Lady Perrers. She was also remembered for persuading her husband to spare the lives of the Burghers of Calais, whom he had planned to execute as an example to the townspeople following his successful siege of that port.
